Overall a good experience. First time for any building work in many years. The brick layers and the installers of the conservatory/orangerie (Liam,Lewis Jake and Kai) did a lovely job, were very clean and tidy, turned up when expected and were pleasant people to have in your house. Would recommend.

This is the second time I have used County. I was delighted with the quality and installation of the 3 French doors and 8 windows that I had completed last year that I decided to carry on the job with the last 2 units. I am pleased to say it was the same experience. The fitters are all conscientious and experienced so the final result was a delight.

Ryan and Rob worked so well fitting the whole house with new windows and doors. The job was finished sooner than expected. They left everywhere tidy and clean. Very professional.

During the tricky times of Covid, we were kept informed of any delays regarding suppliers, and County did all they could to ensure we had our door fitted as soon as possible. Excellent service from County. We have a listed property so getting the windows right was important to obtain approval from the council. The windows look really good and we have been complimented on them by several people. The two men who came to install were brilliant. They were tidy and very respectful of our home with any small comments we had being dealt with promptly and efficiently. We would thoroughly recommend.

I recently had County - The Home Improvers replace the front door on my cottage. Two years ago I had them replace all my windows and my back door. I can not recommend this company enough. Every aspect of dealing with this company is a pleasure. From the first to the last interactions County are professional, knowledgeable and committed to providing the best quality products and service. Prior to buying I visited the Heathfield Centre and the Tunbridge Wells showroom. The sales people are very organised, listen to your requirements, make suggestions and ensure that you get what you need / require rather than trying to sell you more! Once you buy the good service continues. The surveyor and office staff keep you informed and do their very best to ensure the process is smooth and trouble free. When they arrange an appoint, to measure up or to install they always turn up and on time! they promptly respond to all calls and emails. The installation teams are friendly and professional, ensuring you are fully happy before, during and after the installations and make sure they fully clean up after themselves. Another nice touch was that both installation teams that dealt with me were family teams, one a father and son, the other a father and daughter. This company fully appreciate that it is your choice, that it is your home and that you are spending a lot of money, so do all they can to make the whole thing a good experience. Having used them twice now, I can safely say they are one of the best and I would definitely use them again.

We had a porch built to replace the old dilapidated one and the house gutters and fascias replaced. The front of the house now looks amazing! The workmanship was great and the workmen themselves also very good - knew what they were doing and friendly with it.

This is the second batch of timber windows we have had installed by County after a truly awful experience with a different company whose name began with an E. The surveyor (Alan) really knows his job and is clearly very experienced. The windows from County are also really good quality with small window bars that let as much light as possible though. But it is the installation teams they use that are in my opinion provide the real point of difference. Both times they have been courteous, quiet, efficient and cleared up well at the end of each day. They took the time to explain things and problem solve with us when our Victorian cottage was out of true, and in these uncertain times, followed all the Covid rules around wearing face masks etc. Many thanks to Tyler and Callum.

Recently we had County Home Improvers install doors and windows to our home, 27 products in all. The positive impact on our house was far greater than we anticipated, due in no small measure to the help we received from County. We were concerned about installation and the disruption it might entail. The installers, Kevin and Mitchell, were fantastic - organised, tidy and exceptionally well skilled. In many cases there was almost no making good around the new door or window required at all. I would definitely recommend County Home Improvers. Changing doors and windows of your home is a huge decision, for which many of us are un-prepared. The choice of different products and options is confusing and can be overwhelming. Each showroom inevitably promotes those products for which they are agents. Where County rise above others, is in their willingness to work with the customer to find what works best for them, within their budget. Jon Napier who we dealt with, showed great patience, combined with expertise and an eye for detail. It’s a process that can take multiple visits by County to the property and multiple visits by the customer to showrooms, to understand the products and options. We had competitive quotations from County, which we compared like-for-like with other showrooms and established they were competitive on price. That was only the start of a process, however, of finalising the design and product detail. We found that challenging, but ultimately rewarding, as the products and the final styling matched our home so beautifully. This possibly is what the couple of Google reviewers who scored County low, missed. They seemed to be looking for a quick price for standard product, which no doubt County are happy to provide. County’s real forte though is working with the customer to choose the right product for them. That takes time. Ultimately the value to the homeowner will be far greater though, as the wrong door or window product could be a costly mistake.

We have had a new conservatory installed by County and we are over the moon with it. From day one the service and attention to detail has been fantastic! Every single member of the team were so, polite, friendly, hard working, tidy and reliable. We want to thank you all so much for the amazing work carried out. This is our second time using County The Home Improvers. Last time we used them for windows and doors in a smaller property. This time we had approx 12 windows - 1 French door - 1 bifold door 1 front door with stained leaded glass and some construction work involving the removal of a chimney breast. We would have also gone with their kitchen if they had come in with an original quote that matched our budget - they did later get near to the price we needed but at that point it was too late. Martin Magg is excellent on kitchen design and though we did not go with County for our kitchen - Martins customer care was great and it was a difficult decision as during design phase he worked so hard and we really appreciated his help. Their windows and doors are excellent quality and they have a huge variety to choose from. Lastly but by no means least for big construction work get John Dann from County involved. He really understands customer service and managing challenging jobs. He really got into our hearts, a really lovely gentleman who took enormous care and attention to detail whilst our work was undertaken. John is an amazing guy and such an asset to County - Thank you to all at County - The Heathcote’s

Excellent! Having had a bad experience with pushy salespeople in the past I was naturally apprehensive about inviting more salespeople into my home but I urgently needed replacement windows so I had no choice. When the salesman from County Home Improvers arrived I quickly realised that I had no need to worry, Mark was extremely knowledgable, helpful and most importantly to me not pushy. I had no idea how many different types if windows there were and was happy that Mark was able to help me decide what would best suit my home, he had an extensive range of brochures and samples for me to look at and was able to answer all my questions and provide extensive product information. Naturally I wanted to think things over before making up my mind, also I had arranged for two other companies to call later in the week as I wanted to compare prices. (One price was a little less but the salesman expected me to sign there and then and offered very little information about the windows.) I looked at County Home Improvers website (to help me make my mind up) which is extremely impressive. When I can afford it I will be definitely be asking them about installing a new bathroom, it's just a shame that that the previous owners of my home had just installed a new kitchen as their kitchens look amazing! (As I live in a flat I can not have a conservatory or an orangery, may be another time!) I did consider going to their showroom in Heathfield where I could have seen lots of their products on display, unfortunately I had to go away that weekend so didn't have time. My windows were fitted in September by an extremely hard working, polite gentleman (sorry I can't remember his name), who left my home clean and tidy and caused minimal disruption. I am really happy with my new windows they look good and the quality is excellent. My home is so much quieter, the last few days I have also realised how much warmer my home is keeping. Well done County, and thank you.
